Yana Gupta is a Czech born model of mid1990s who has now successfully entered the Indian modeling and acting scene. In fact, her arrival in Indian modeling world happened when she got married to an Indian painter, Satyakam Gupta although the couple separated officially in 2005. Yana was born as Jana Synková, on April 23, 1979 at Brno, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). She changed her surname from Synková to Gupta. Her career’s turning point came when she was chosen to be the new faced for the Lakme brand from 2001. Since then she has appeared in various commercials, print ads and cameo and item numbers in Indian movies of varied languages.
